Add a bit of glow to senior citizens in their sunset years


I REFER to the letter “Elderly citizens need special geriatric hospital” (The Star, Aug 13). Generally, it might be better to remain as a special wing (geriatric ward) within a government hospital than a stand-alone facility as you will have all the other specialist services available for consultation in times of complications and emergencies.

All we ask for right now is better service with a special lane for senior citizens and the right attitude when handling this group of people who suffer from poor hearing, poor eyesight, poor balance and a host of other ageing conditions.
