Face bigotry with courage


LAST week, two incidents occurred which deserve mention for their callous bigotry and blatant racism.

The first is the now infamous invitation from the Ipoh City Council (MBI) which clearly illustrates the problem we have in this country where a group insists, consciously or unconsciously, on emphasising racial divisions and the politics of divide and rule, and putting us into boxes of control to the point that they would dictate to us what we, as individuals and as communities, should wear.
