BRAVO, Datuk Seri Idris Haron! I was stunned and at the same time elated when I read the “Pass English test or no promotion” (The Star, May 26) ultimatum issued by the Malacca Chief Minister.
His disappointment spoke for itself when he said that top state officials with first class honours degrees in his state were unable to understand correspondence in simple English.
