WORLD Sleep Day (WSD) was observed recently. An annual event organised by the World Sleep Day Committee of the World Association of Sleep Medicine (WASM), it has been observed on Friday of the second full week of March each year since 2008.

The objective is to celebrate the benefits of good and healthy sleep, draw society’s attention to the burden of sleep problems and their health, social and educational concerns, and promote sleep-disorders prevention and management.
