Govt should check background of employers

THE recent move by the Government to hike the levy fees for foreign workers has not been welcomed by certain groups.

Those hiring foreign workers have voiced their grouses, saying that the hike would increase the cost of doing business. There’s no doubt about this but, on the other hand, it is also common knowledge that the costs would ultimately be passed on to the foreign workers.
