House explosion leaves two seriously injured in Portugal


LISBON, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Two people were seriously injured in a house explosion on Sunday morning in Valongo, a municipality in the district of Porto, northern Portugal, according to sources with the National Republican Guard (GNR).

The explosion happened around 9 a.m. local time and the two injured, a 56-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were transported to the hospital for treatment. The cause of the incident has not yet been determined, according to the District Command of Relief Operations in Porto.
