SYDNEY (Reuters) - A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 struck about 460 km (290 miles) southwest of the South Pacific island nation of Tonga on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake did not immediately trigger a tsunami warning from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
