THE force of the social network has failed to save Lost, the lonely dog, that was spotted sitting in the middle of a highway waiting for its boss - it has been crushed to death.

The female brown dog, which was called by Facebook users as "Long" in Thai or Lost, was spotted sitting on the shallow ditch in the middle of the Chanthaburi-Trat highway in Chan Thaburi's Mueang district over a month ago.
