Nawaz: I will resign and go home if proven guilty

Sharif's ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, which has a majority in parliament, is expected to name a new prime minister to hold office until elections due next year.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, (pic) in his address to the nation, said he will resign and go home if proven guilty by the Panama Papers probe.

“I challenge all those who allege tax fraud to come forward and present evidence. If charges are proved against me, I will resign immediately,” vowed Nawaz.
