Recycling factory in Chan Sow Lin damaged in fire


KUALA LUMPUR: A recycling factory at Jalan Emas 1, Chan Sow Lin here, suffered 40 per cent damage in a fire on Saturday (Jan 31) night.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department's Operations Centre, in a statement, said 33 firefighters and nine engines from the Bandar Tun Razak, Pudu and Hang Tuah fire and rescue stations rushed to the scene, following a distress call received at 8.05pm.

The fire at the 50 x 70 square foot factory was brought under control at 9.24pm before the operation ended completely at 12.08am, and no victims were involved in the incident, it said. - Bernama
