Ex-Sabah CM wants federal govt to take Sabah’s wishes seriously

KOTA KINABALU: Former chief minister Datuk Yong Teck Lee questions whether Sabah will ever get back its rights, according to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), or have its wishes heard by the federal government.

Yong said Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s statement that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu)’s entry to Sabah was not subject to anyone’s views, but the party’s itself, seemed to show that Sabah’s wishes were not being taken seriously.
