KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is tightening the noose on locally licensed Vietnamese deep-sea fishing boats amid concerns that most of the catch fails to land in the state.
On the cards is a plan to impose a minimum volume of catch as a requirement for the renewal of deep-sea fishing licences, as well as a plan to disband Vietnamese fishing boats to be used for deep-sea fishing in the state.
