Panel set up to investigate alleged negligence in patient's death

KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry set up an independent investigative committee panel on Sept 25 to investigate complaints alleging negligence on the part of Selayang Hospital over the death of a patient, said Selangor state health director Datuk Dr Khalid Ibrahim.

The Health Ministry had taken note of the complaint that went viral on social media on Oct 2, which alleged that negligence had resulted in the death of M. Savunthary, he said.
