Reprieve for non-BM signage


JOHOR BARU: Thousands of pre-war and heritage buildings with signages in other languages other than Bahasa Malaysia statewide have been given a temporary reprieve as the state government has halted all enforcement operations.

The state government also plans to address the issue, including reviewing the local government’s advertising by-laws, said state executive councillor Tan Hong Pin yesterday.
