Najib: GST needed to ensure the future of Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: The decision to move from  the Sales and Services Tax (SST) to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system was not made in a hurry, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday (Aug 7), the former prime minister said it was a decision made based on detailed studies, adding that it was part of the Economic Transformation Programme in late 2009.
