Pakistani sentenced to jail, fine and whipping for immigration offences


KUALA LUMPUR: A Pakistani accountant was sentenced by a Sessions Court here to seven years and eight months in jail, a RM50,000 fine and three strokes of the rotan after he pleaded guilty to owning several fake immigration stamps and passports that belonged to other people.

Abdullah Qayyum, 26, made the plea on Tuesday (July 10) after the charges were read out to him before Sessions Court judge Wan Mohd Norisham Wan Yaakob here Tuesday.
