Maria Chin condemns arrest of 3 women over flags takedown

PETALING JAYA: Former Bersih 2.0 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah (pic) has condemned the arrests of three women who allegedly took down Barisan Nasional flags in Taman Tun Dr Ismail.

"There is no reason why these women should be arrested and jailed under section under Section 427 of the Penal Code for allegedly causing mischief, simply for taking down the flags" she said.
