NILAI: Seremban Municipal Council (MPS) president Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Latif will be appointed the first mayor of Seremban when it attains city status next month, said Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
He however added that the official declaration of Seremban as a city will take place next January in conjunction with the birthday celebrations of Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.
