Sarawak to bar individuals with drugs-related criminal records

KUCHING: Sarawak is looking to bar the entry of individuals with drugs-related criminal records into the state as it steps up the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said no time frame has been set to introduce the ban, as the matter would have to be discussed by the state Cabinet and relevant authorities.
