Outraged netizens want thorough probe

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians have expressed outrage and are demanding justice over the alleged murders of two Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel near Sitiawan, Perak, on Friday afternoon.

Taking to social media, many expressed their condolences and demanded a thorough investigation into the deaths of Laskar Kelas 1 (Able Rate) Nik Muhammad Baihaqy Nik Mat, 28, and similarly-ranked Muhammad Lailaltulman Mohd Sukri, 26.

Facebook user GH Khoo lamented the loss of two lives “for nothing”.

“The two families lost their sons, husbands and fathers for nothing,” he said.

Afral Abdullah urged the authorities to “do the needful” and ensure the perpetrators were punished for their crimes.

“We are talking about human life here. If indeed the two had committed wrongdoings, they should be proven guilty and punished within what is provided by the law.

“No other human can take the law into their own hands,” he commented.

John Lim said everyone found to be involved in the case should be held accountable for the loss of two lives.

“What is wrong with these people?

“Instead of helping and looking after people who are put under their care, they bully and abuse them,” he said.

“Please hang them. Too many cases like this swept under the carpet. This is too much, imagine if those guys were your brothers,” said Facebook user PathmaRaja Palaniandy.

Another user, Napsiah Wan Salleh, said it was now up to the investigators to deliver justice.

“Of course justice must be done. Leave it to the investigators,” she said.
