GEORGE TOWN: The trial of four teenagers charged with the murder of 18-year-old T. Nhaveen has been postponed to Dec 6.
Magistrate Nur Fadrina Zulkhairi set the date pending the completion of the post-mortem report when the case was brought up for mention Thursday.
J. Ragesuthen and S. Gokulan, both 18, along with two other youths, aged 16 and 17, were jointly charged with murdering Nhaveen between 11pm and midnight on June 9 near a learning centre in Jalan Kaki Bukit, Bukit Gelugor.
The offence under Section 302 of the Penal Code carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
The accused also face another charge which has been set for mention on Friday for causing grievous hurt to Nhaveen’s friend, T. Previin, 19, using a helmet at the same time and place.
It was reported that Nhaveen was found unconscious around midnight on June 10. He died at Penang Hospital on June 15.
