Seven teen boys arrested in connection with tahfiz fire


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested seven teenage boys in connection with the fire at Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah school, which claimed the lives of 23 students and teachers, early Thursday.

Kuala Lumpur Police chief Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh, when contacted, confirmed the arrest.

“Yes, I confirmed the arrests have been made,” he said.

The report on the arrest of the seven boys, aged between 12 and 18, went viral  over social media on Saturday.

The 5.15 am fire at the tahfiz school resulted in the death of 21 students and two teachers.
