Philippine military confirms arrest of Abu Asrie

PETALING JAYA: The Armed Forces of the Philippines confirms that notorious Abu Sayyaf leader Abu Asrie and one other Filipino were arrested in Malaysia.

Philippines media reported the military's public affairs office chief Colonel Edgard Arevalo as saying that Abu Asrie is the chief lieutenant of Furuji Indama, the leader of the Abu Sayyaf faction in Basilan.
