Male cop caught in women’s washroom, clad only in his underwear

ALOR SETAR: The headline says it all – a 32-year-old police inspector was arrested, clad only in his underwear, inside the women’s washroom at a shopping mall here on Monday.

State Police Chief Commissioner Police (CP) Datuk Asri Yusoff confirmed the arrest in a post on the PDRM Kedah Facebook page on Monday.

He said that on Aug 7 (Monday), at about 12.30am, the Mobile Patrol Car Unit and Motorcycle Patrol Unit of the Kota Setar District Police Headquarters received information that a man was causing a disturbance at a shopping mall.

Upon arriving at the mall, police detained the man, who was semi-nude inside the washroom on the fourth floor.

The man had a clutch bag containing a civilian identity card, a police authority card, and a transparent plastic bag containing pieces of a crystalline substance believed to be syabu, weighing in at 0.62g.

CP Asri said the man has been remanded for seven days for further investigation under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.

A video of a woman angrily questioning a man, believed to be the suspect, went viral on Facebook on Monday.

In the video, the woman is seen accusing the man of filming her inside the washroom.

The man, clad only in his underwear, is heard calling the woman a transvestite (pondan) and seen flashing his police authority card.

The woman has yet to lodge a police report over the incident.
