Sarawak wants tourism tax deferred until collection mechanism is sorted out

KUCHING: The Sarawak government is asking to defer the implementation of the tourism tax until its collection mechanism has been sorted out.

Its tourism, arts, culture, youth and sports minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah (pic) said the Sarawak government needs more time to figure out the tax-collection process.
