Former police officer pleads guilty to extortion charge

KUALA LUMPUR: A 46-year-old former police officer was fined RM3,000 by a magistrate’s court here for extorting RM1,000 from a Myanmar national last year.

Zamzuri Ainul Musli pleaded guilty before magistrate Mahyudin Mohmad Som to a charge of extorting RM1,000 from Lum Nyoi at a house in Mutiara Condominium, Jalan Tengkat Tong Shin here at 4am on Aug 7 2016.
