Transvestite allegedly blackmails ride-hailing driver after having sex with him

PETALING JAYA: A ride-hailing driver was allegedly blackmailed by a transvestite after they had sex, with the entire act filmed using a hidden camera.

According to sources, the 24-year-old driver and the transvestite had sexual intercourse at an apartment in Pudu in the early hours of April 5.

Not long after, the driver was contacted by the transvestite, who threatened to distribute the video unless he was paid RM1,000.

The driver refused to pay and the transvestite reduced his demand to RM500.

However, the driver remained adamant and did not pay.

The transvestite then contacted the driver's father making the same demands, and even threatened to create a ruckus at the father's workplace if he refused to pay.

It is learnt that a police report was made on April 6 and the suspect was apprehended the same day.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Hamzah Alias confirmed the case and said that the suspect, a 28-year-old man, has been remanded for four days until April 10.

He added that the case was being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
