Wanted man killed in shootout with cops in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: A wanted man was killed in a shootout with police at Taman Sri Gayang in Tuaran here on Thursday night.

According to police, the man, in his 40s, started shooting at policemen who had come to raid a house at about 7pm.

They returned fire and the man was killed in the ensuing shootout.

It is not clear what he was wanted for.

It is learnt that Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Ramli Din will give details of the incident later Friday.
