JOHOR BARU: Two policemen were injured after they were rammed by a car driven by criminals wanting to escape from police at Saleng, Jalan Johor Baru-Ayer Hitam here on Tuesday morning.
Kulai District Police chief Supt Razak Md Said said the victims, who were from the Kulai District Police Headquarters (IPD) and Johor Baru IPD, were currently being treated at the Kulai Hospital.
However, there was no information about their ages.
Supt Razak said the incident occurred at 4.20am when a police patrol team ordered a car with two men to stop in front of a petrol station in Jalan Saleng-Kempas, Kulai.

He said five patrol cars and three motorcycle patrol units from the Kulai IPD and several vehicles from the Johor Baru Utara and Johor Baru Selatan IPDs also chased after the suspects.
"Police chased them from Saleng to Skudai, going into Danga Bay and back towards Skudai before re-entering Kulai district. At one point, the suspects rammed their car into several police vehicles, causing them to be badly damaged.
"Following the incident, the two suspects and two police personnel were injured," he said in a statement here.
Supt Razak said following checks, the two suspects, aged 23 and 27 years, were found to be from Kluang, Johor.
They also possessed 11 and seven criminal and drug-related records.
Police also found a parang and several drug-related equipment in their vehicle.
The two suspects tested positive for drugs and their vehicle was found to have been reported missing in the Kluang district.
