GEORGE TOWN: The driver of a two-tonne lorry lost control and crashed into ten parked motor- cycles in front of a multinational corporation (MNC) at the Free Industrial Zone in Bayan Lepas.
Five of the motorcycles were badly damaged and had to be towed away.
Others had broken side mirrors, number plates and glass panels in the incident which took place at about 1pm yesterday.
No one was injured and it is believed that the motorcycles belonged to employees of the MNC who were at work at that time.
Onlookers took videos and pictures of the scene which then went viral on social media.
Factory operator Roziana Mohd Husin, 39, who was among those who had their motorcycles damaged, said she usually parked in the factory compound but had to park outside yesterday as she was late and there was no more parking space.
“The damage is not too bad but petrol spilled out and both my side mirrors are gone.
“The lorry driver has gone to make a police report and will be covering the cost of repairing the motorcycles,” she said.
Roziana said her husband would have to take her to work until her motorcycle was repaired.
