Liow: More debris suspected to be from MH370 found

KUALA LUMPUR: Two more pieces of debris, suspected to be from the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, have been found, says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

He said further details would be released later, adding that at this point, 25 pieces of debris confirmed to be from MH370 have been collected.

Liow also said Malaysia has memorandums of understanding with African nations along the Indian Ocean to help recover any possible debris that washes up on their shores.

"If they find anything they will contact us and our response team will go in to collect it," he said Tuesday.

Liow also said that the MH370 investigation team is preparing a final report which should be out within the year.

The Malaysia Airlines flight disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014, with 239 passengers and crew on board.

Its journey is believed to have ended in the southern Indian Ocean.
