Cops deny role in organising Klang fireworks event


PETALING JAYA: South Klang police have denied any role in organising a New Year's event that saw 14 people getting injured by fireworks after they exploded on the ground at the Pandamaran Sports Complex on Sunday.

District police chief Asst Comm Alzafny Ahmad denied a report published in a Malay daily quoting Klang Municipal Council (MPK) president Datuk Mohamad Yasid Bidin as saying that the police were part of the organising committee for Fiesta Gegar Klang 2016.
