All on board escape unhurt after bus catches fire in heart of KL

KUALA LUMPUR: Passers-by were stunned when a bus carrying 40 people suddenly caught fire in the heart of the city.

According to a Fire and Rescue Department spokesman, the bus was moving along Jalan Sultan Ismail when it suddenly caught fire at around 8.30pm on Friday

Everyone on board the bus, however, managed to get out safely.

"Fire fighters were on the scene within a few minutes and managed to put out the fire before it could spread.

"The cause of the fire is being investigated," the spokesman said.
