KUALA LUMPUR: Forging good relations with China is not a bad thing as Malaysia cannot afford to ignore the country, said Centre for Global Affairs Malaysia (Icon) advisor Abdul Razak Baginda.

"China is not only the most dominant country in the world, it's also the second biggest economy in the world and will soon overtake the United States," he told journalists at a forum titled Revisiting Democracy: Global and Domestic Trends.
