BAGAN DATOH: Intelligence reports show that followers of Abu Bakar Bashir, the former leader of Jemaah Islamiyah, are keen to make South-East Asia the new base for Islamic State (IS), Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said.
“I have been told that some of his 300 followers who were in prisons have been released and they went to Batam.
