Keeping school going by giving out RM500 to new pupils

Small population: SJK (C) Sum Min in Lebuh Tye Sin, Penang, only has an enrolment of 38 pupils this year.

GEORGE TOWN: Old boys of the SJK (C) Sum Min here are thinking out of the box to keep the school from closing down due to poor enrolment.

The ex-pupils’ association will give out a one-time RM500 incentive to new pupils who enrol for next year’s Year One.
