IPOH: Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming has reiterated that he did not upload an insulting Hari Raya posting on his Facebook ac-count.
The state DAP chairman said he did not draw or upload the caricature image, which was clearly an act of slander.
He said he never had any intention of creating uneasiness among the Muslims and the Malays in the country.
“This is dirty political tricks and the allegations are slanderous with ill intention.
“I hope the matter can be resolved as soon as possible, as such issues do not benefit any party but only create tense situations,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Several parties have been urging the authorities to investigate Nga’s claims that his Facebook account had been hacked, and inconsistent clarification over his allegedly insulting Hari Raya posting.
Nga said that he initially did not plan to lodge any police report but since certain parties had held a protest, made accusations, and made slanderous remarks against him, he had no choice but to make a report soon.
