Ikea Malaysia recalls dark chocolate products

PETALING JAYA: Ikea Malaysia has issued a product recall for those who have bought dark chocolate CHOKLAD MÖRK 60% and CHOKLAD MÖRK 70%.

"Ikea wants customers who have bought dark chocolate CHOKLAD MÖRK 60% and CHOKLAD MÖRK 70%, to be informed that the presence of milk and hazelnut is insufficiently declared on the product packaging," it said in a statement on Monday.

However, Ikea said the products are still safe to be consumed by anyone who is not allergic to milk or hazelnuts.

But persons allergic to milk or hazelnuts may experience an allergic reaction when eating the product.

"Customers allergic to milk or hazelnuts or otherwise concerned, are welcome to return affected products at the Swedish Food Market in Ikea stores for a full refund," said Ikea.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

The recall affects all Best Before Dates of CHOKLAD MÖRK 60% and CHOKLAD MÖRK 70%.

The Best Before Date can be found on the back side of the chocolate bar packaging (YYYY/MM/DD).
