TMJ plays ‘tour guide’ to Harith Iskander

PETALING JAYA: Funnyman Harith Iskander has quite a travel experience to boast about following a viral video of him being shown around town by the most unlikely tour guide - the Crown Prince of Johor.

“I’m just getting a little tour of Johor with your normal, average, everyday tour guide … His Royal Highness The Crown Prince of Johor,” Harith joked in the front-facing clip, which quickly went viral after he shared it on Wednesday.

On his social media accounts, the comedian from Johor Baru said it was nice and an honour to have someone who was “knowledgeable about Johor” actually drive him around.

To his side and behind the wheel of the left-hand drive vehicle was the grinning Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.

“So normal… just another Wednesday for me,” Harith added, which caused an outburst of laughter in the vehicle.

"And he's so brave, he's driving left-hand drive some more. It's like, I'm sitting on the right-hand side and I feel awkward," he joked of the unusual passenger seat position.

Harith thanked Tunku Ismail for the favour, who replied “no problem” and "no worries, anytime".

Many commentators were smitten with the prince's down to earth nature that was displayed in the video.

Also spotted in the vehicle is Alistair Edwards, sporting director of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), who flashed a thumbs up at the lens.

The video’s caption included hashtags such as #OHI, which is an acronym for Obviously Harith Iskander (OHI).

OHI, hosted by the comedian, is Malaysia’s first late-night talk show set to premier on May 28.
