Cop freed of one graft charge but fined for another


JOHOR BARU: A police inspector was granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal after he pleaded guilty to an amended charge of agreeing to accept a RM3,000 bribe to cover up a car accident involving a fatality, four years ago.

Insp Mohd Shulul Azmil Shuaibon, 34, was charged yesterday with agreeing to accept the money from Azman Mat Zain, 46, who was involved in the accident along Jalan Pantai, near Taman Sri Stulang, on Nov 5, 2012.
