No consent given to rep for use of car which got into an accident, says civil servant


GEORGE TOWN: A civil servant lodged two police reports against Batu Uban PKR assemblyman Dr T. Jayabalan for allegedly borrowing her Mercedes-Benz 230E without her consent, a magistrate’s court here heard.

Penang Hospital College of Nursing deputy director T. Saroja Devi, 57, said the reports were lodged on Oct 8 and Nov 22, 2014, after learning that her car had been in an accident on Aug 24 that year.
