Felda wins RM350,000 in damages


KUALA LUMPUR: Persatuan Anak Peneroka Felda Kebangsaan (Anak) president Mazlan Aliman and a printer have been ordered by the High Court to pay RM350,000 in damages to Federal Land Develop­ment Authority (Felda) for libel.

High Court judge Justice Su Geok Yiam ruled in chambers that Anak was liable for publication of a libellous book implying Felda was a loan shark and the judge also dismissed an application by both defendants to stay the court ruling on the award.
