Liow: Airlines should not raise fares after DCA fee review

Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai during a press conference at the IEM'S 57th Annual Dinner & Awards Night 2016 at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa, Petaling Jaya.

PETALING JAYA: Airlines should not increase their fares as the aviation industry gets set for a “one-fold” fee review by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), says Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

The Transport Minister said DCA’s “maximum one-fold” air navigation facility charges (ANFC) hike would only cost a “small fraction” to the airlines, adding that the new fees would be the minimum the Government could go.
