Health Ministry: No new dengue virus found


PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry has denied a local daily’s report that a new dengue virus, known as Denv-5, has been found.  

Its deputy director-general (public health) Datuk Dr Lokman Hakim Sulaiman said the existence of the new dengue serotype had yet to be confirmed by the scientific community.
