SMEs must look at global market, says Zahid

KUALA LUMPUR: Small and medium enterprises should move towards becoming more internationalised in a bid to become more resilient in a complex global market, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

“The complexity of our current global economic environment has made it more important than ever for the Asean SMEs sector to develop capabilities that would allow them to respond promptly to any external uncertainty,” he said in his opening address during the World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation (WIEF).
