JOHOR BARU: Fearing for their safety, many Indonesian workers who usually prefer to take boat rides illegally back home are now opting to board ferries as a safe and legal means of going back to their hometowns for the Hari Raya celebrations.
Although using an illegal method may be faster and cheaper, many travellers fear drowning following the numerous incidents of capsized boats carrying workers who used illegal means to get home.
