Parliament: 179 employers detained for hiring illegal foreigners in past 3 months


KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 179 employers were detained for allegedly hiring and sheltering illegal foreigners during the past three months.

Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said Thursday this was on top of the 13,959 illegal foreigners arrested for various offences under the Immigration Act 1959/63, Passport Act 1966 and Immigration regulations.
