Cuepacs: 60% of civil servants can’t afford to buy a home

MACHANG: Cuepacs has revealed that about 60 percent of civil servants nationwide, especially in the Klang Valley with income below RM3,000 a month, are still unable to purchase their own houses.

Its finance secretary Jaapar Mansor said this situation would prolong if the government did not take any initiative to tackle the issue, including reducing housing loan interest to one percent and increase their income.
