Ministry targets 5.7mil tourists in Penang next year

THE Tourism and Culture Ministry has forecast that Penang will receive 5.7 million tourists during the Malaysia Year of Festivals (MyFest) 2015.

Tourism Malaysia Deputy director-general (Promotions) Datuk Azizan Noordin said the state received about 970,000 tourists from January to July this year which was a 2% increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
