Showing them a good time: The staff volunteers with the children of Ephratha Welfare Association in Rawang.
FRASER Place Kuala Lumpur recently donated stationery, children’s activity books, food supplies and cash to Ephratha Welfare Association in Rawang.
The donation, contributed by the management and staff of the serviced residence, was part of its corporate social responsibility programme to assist the underprivileged.
Nineteen staff volunteers of Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur and the upcoming Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur contributed provisions such as rice, chocolate beverage, soap powder, biscuits, cereals and canned food.
The children and caretakers were also treated to a specially prepared lunch at the home by the serviced residence’s chefs.
After lunch, the team brought out a cake to celebrate one of the children’s birthday.
Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur and Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur group general manager Shirley Lai also presented the children with pocket money and goodie bags containing, among other things, Fraser soft toys Luc & Lucia.
“We are inspired by what Ephratha Home founder Pastor Christina Soosai is doing to help these children, particularly in ensuring they have a sound education.
“We hope that our small contribution will help bring some relief to their lives and give these children a head-start for a brighter future.”
In expressing her gratitude, Ephratha Home caretaker Vasanthi said, “We are grateful to the team from Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur and Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur not only for their kind donation, but also for taking the time to visit the home.
“Their contribution will certainly help improve the lives and well-being of the children here,” she added.
